Hitting out at the opposition, particularly the Samajwadi Party, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday described the Judicial Commission’s report on Sambhal violence as shocking, saying it exposes the conspiracy orchestrated by these parties against Hindus.

CM Yogi expressed shock over the partial report on the Sambhal riots, published in newspapers and circulated on social media on Friday, noting that the riots occurred during the rule of the SP and Congress.

“The report reveals how the riots were orchestrated in the state, with the majority community oppressed and Hindus forced to migrate,” he alleged.

“But now, under the BJP regime, no one can even think of such conspiracies as we have dealt with these forces firmly,” he added.

CM Yogi also said that using abusive language against PM Modi is like spitting on the sun. “This is not an insult to the PM, but to the 140 crore people of the country. The public will respond appropriately to the Congress and the INDIA bloc,” he remarked.

Without naming anyone, CM Yogi said that using abusive language against PM Modi is an insult to the entire country, leaving the people feeling insulted.

The CM addressed a public meeting after inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 550 crore in Pratapgarh on Friday.

The CM said that during the tenure of the SP, Congress, and BSP, hooliganism and mafia-style rule had reached its peak.

“During the SP government, a mafia was nurtured in every district. Development funds were misappropriated, looting was at its peak, and money meant for the poor was siphoned off,” the CM said.

Yogi Adityanath said that the INDIA bloc, comprising the SP and Congress, is in fact an anti-India alliance — one that undermines the pride of the country and insults not only the constitutional institutions but also its 140 crore people.

“The Congress and SP leaders, who created anarchy in the country and the state after coming to power, are today pleading for democracy. During their rule, the state was engulfed in riots,” he alleged.

CM Yogi said that the double-engine government in the state is ensuring development without discrimination. He added that the poor are receiving the benefits of welfare schemes and moving forward through empowerment.

He claimed that six crore people in the state have risen above the poverty line. The benefits of the housing scheme are being given without discrimination, with the people of Pratapgarh district receiving the maximum benefit under the PM Housing Scheme.

CM Yogi said that the first session of the Sports University in Meerut is starting today. The BJP has honoured hockey magician Major Dhyanchand by naming the highest sports award in his name. A sports college will now be established in every division of the state so that talented players bring glory to the nation, he added.
